Evaporator Units

Evaporator units are an important component commonly used as part of a cooling system. These units are used to lower the ambient temperature by evaporating the liquid refrigerant, which is typically in liquid state.

Functionally, the evaporator unit takes the liquid refrigerant and evaporates it by passing air through it. During this process, the energy of the liquid refrigerant is absorbed from the atmosphere or another source, and heat energy is added to the environment during the evaporation process. This causes the ambient temperature to decrease.

The design of evaporators typically involves the use of a series of cooling channels or plates to increase their efficiency. This provides more effective heat transfer with air contacting more surface area.

Evaporator units are widely used in evaporative cooling systems as well as industrial cooling systems, food processing facilities, cold storages and many other applications.
